At Elite EMS our staff are trained to the highest standards. They are provided with specific skills and competency training to meet their immediate functional requirements. This training is dependent on the individual and their role within the organisation, but for ambulance staff it will usually include but is not limited to specific equipment training and for support staff will include administrative systems and processes including corporate governance.
All staff must complete the appropriate Professional Skills and Development Programme when joining our business. Within the programme there are a number of modules which reflect the skills that are required to meet the needs of the role. All training is undertaken by a competent and trained internal or external resource. The training is varied and includes classroom based learning as well as practical scenarios. Once each module is completed, it is further validated by the line manager to check understanding before authorising as competent.
All Elite EMS have 24 hour access to experienced clinical managers to offer backup and support when necessary. A full Management governance structure ensures staff have access to help and guidance should they have a concern.
All staff engaged with us whether full time or part time are subject to an Enhanced CRB check
