Job Profile - Role Contribution to Elite EMS Success
The job profile entails contributing to the success of Elite EMS by preparing ambulances for operational duty to meet agreed quality standards, benefiting both patients and staff. This includes tasks such as cleaning, decontaminating, stocking, conducting safety and functional checks on-board equipment (medical and non-medical), and ensuring vehicle roadworthiness.
Responsibilities
Ensure the continuity of Make Ready Services within the assigned area of responsibility to maximize ambulance availability for patient care.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all general areas of the station, adhering to station cleaning logs and best practices for infection prevention and control.
Work on shifts, including nights and weekends.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Undertake the following tasks and responsibilities:
Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean and prepared to meet daily operational requirements. This includes:Cleaning the inside of the ambulance, including all surfaces and equipment, to an agreed Infection Prevention and Control Standard.
Decontaminating the inside of the ambulance, including all surfaces and equipment, to an agreed Infection Prevention and Control standard.
Cleaning the exterior of the ambulance.
Adhering to Elite EMS policy for the deep cleaning program of vehicles and maintaining accurate records.
Maintaining appropriate levels of stock for response bags, specialist pouches, and equipment, ensuring items are within their use by/service dates as per approved policies.
Ensuring accurate booking out of stock and equipment and identifying items requiring ordering for adequate stock maintenance.
Using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure correct stocking of vehicles with equipment and consumables.
Meeting all make ready quality standards set by Elite EMS.
Ensuring the storeroom is adequately stocked and clean.
Accommodating operational requests for vehicle and equipment movement.
Planning and preparing ambulances to meet strict time deadlines and operational requirements.
Working at remote and satellite sites when directed by Control or an appropriate manager.
Maintaining a high level of sustained physical effort during vehicle kitting, de-kitting, cleaning, and decontamination.
Demonstrating competence in using specialist tools such as pressure washers, steam cleaners, fogging, and valeting equipment.
Assisting Fleet Services in maintaining operational serviceability of the vehicle fleet by conducting visual vehicle inspections and minor running repairs when directed by Fleet or a manager.
Exhibiting the ability to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks without direct supervision.

Essential Education
Good general education background to include GCSE English & Maths at level 5 or above.
Essential Experience
Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
Understanding of COSSH, Cleaning products legislations and requirements for safe road usage.
Working in a fast-paced office environment

A Level qualification in Business Studies
Degree level (or equivalent) qualification
Non Essential Experience
Experience of working in Fleet/vehicles sector
